To the people of Yankton County:

My name is Julie Auch. I have been serving as your South Dakota House of Representative for District 18. My husband Gary and I farm in the Northwest corner of Yankton County. We have four children and eight grandchildren. Born and raised and attended Mount Marty College right here in Yankton County. I love Yankton County. I love South Dakota. But what I love mostly about this State and this County is the people. It’s you, the taxpayer. And my job in the State of South Dakota has always been to be your voice, the voice of the taxpayer, the voice of individuals who sometimes feel like they are not being heard. It will be my pleasure to serve as a Yankton County Commissioner.

What experience I’m bringing, what sets me apart, is my experience with State government. The state government and counties work hand in hand. The state government, the legislators make the rules, make those statutes, write the statutes, and then the county has to bring them forth. I do not agree with all of them but of course want to strive for the best for Yankton County and to make sure that we are utilizing every single taxpayer dollar to the best of its potential and fairly with accountability and transparency.

I encourage you to vote for me as a Yankton County Commissioner. I promise to represent Yankton County with God, Family & Country as my guiding principles. I am so BLESSED to serve you, the PEOPLE of Yankton County. Thank you for your support, work and love. Together we will make Yankton County BETTER by focusing on GOD, FAMILY & COUNTRY. Serving you in Yankton County will be an honor.

You know from my previous record as your House Representative for District 18, I did not speak these three principles of God, Family and Country just to get elected. I lived by them. I voted by them for you and put your interests first. Yes, we have broader State issues and concerns. Yes, we want to make it easier for businesses to prosper in South Dakota. I’m not arbitrarily against big business, but big is not always better and certainly not always how it presents itself to the public. These principles have not changed and neither have I.

I truly believe South Dakota is the greatest State, because of our Christian values. I treasure our families, and I will continue to put you and your family first before the bureaucracy. Today as a country, we face so many challenges, taxes, illegal immigrants and the infamous taking of our property, rights and local control. I will not back down.

There is so much work to do in Yankton County, and I appreciate your vote and support.

Preserving Our Legacy

As County Commissioner, I pledge to ensure that our children and grandchildren inherit the legacy we in South Dakota have long enjoyed:

Pro-Life Choices

Private Property Rights

Second Amendment Rights

Free Speech

Civil Liberty

Religious Freedom

God Family Country

The three principles that I bring are God, Family and Country.

How special that in the State of South Dakota we have “Under God, the people rule” as our motto. What’s awesome about that motto is that it was actually created right here in Yankton by the founder of Yankton College, Joseph Ward. He took it to the Constitutional Convention in 1885. We adopted it as our motto in 1889, and we have, I almost feel like, skirted away from that little bit.

We need to bring all of that back to “Under God, the people rule”. Not the corporations, not the bureaucrats, not the lobbyists, not us Legislators. It’s the people!

I will listen to you, and I will strive to implement what you want.

“The value of our privilege to vote cannot be calculated.”

As County Commissioner, I give Yankton County conservative voters a greater voice in Yankton County activities. The freedoms granted to all United States citizens have always been enjoyed in the great State of South Dakota. I want to ensure that our children and grandchildren inherit that legacy of freedom and justice. I diligently advocate for second amendment rights, private property rights, pro-life choices, rule of law, and all civil liberties.

I encourage you to always vote for candidates who represent the values you hold. By speaking up through our vote, we are all assured that we will be governed according to the values we hold dear.
